change currency

From where we can configure currency..can user change currency..and what is the utility of this feature..
i need a drop down menu for currency.the link to change currency is not easliy accesible for the customer.
please describe it......

From the admin side you can add currencies. If you have multiple currencies configured then currencies tab will be made available for customers. Each customer can then select its own currency. Read the following topic
