Asset Manager Not Working

My asset manager does not work about 90% of the time I try to use it. I can't find much rhyme or reason to it.

When I try to add a new folder or upload a new image, the modal dialog looks like its been successful, but nothing happens (the folder is never created or the image is never uploaded).

The problem occurs in IE7 and Firefox 3.

I am on build ac_7_0_stable_b10152

I have tried attaching to the debugger to see if an exception is getting thrown in an AJAX call and do not see that happening.

I have also examined the windows event log to see if there is an error occurring there--there is none.

There don't seem to be any javascript errors occurring either.

Completely closing my browser and re-opening a new browser seems to help on occasion.

I have checked the final demo with IE7 and FF3 and they both worked fine with the asset manager.

Is your site behind a firewall? We have had to tweak some settings because of that and Ajax, but I don't know what they tweaked and I'm allergic to firewalls.
