Making kit component mandatory

Post by WylieE » Wed Jan 28, 2009 5:20 pm

Some of the parts we carry (bridges) come with additional parts (nuts) and the customer needs to select the appropriate size. These were set up as kits. Example: http://dev.warmoth.com/Original-Floyd-R ... -P117.aspx

It seems the customer can add a bridge to the shopping cart without selecting a nut. We need to set the part up so a nut is mandatory. Is there a setting for this? The customer should not be able to add a bridge without selecting a nut.

Thanks,

Change the text outside the box to say "pick a locking nut size" and then take out that option so it only lists the available nut sizes.

That's correct you can remove the prompt text "select blah blah" and mark one of the component as selected and that's all.
