Bug when trying to pay balance with paypal

I have a open case that has not been replied to in over 2 months so I am sorry but I figured I would post it here as well in hopes it gets addressed. It is case#3322 and whenever I have a customer who has a small balance on a order (they had me add a item) they cant pay the balance via paypal. When the customer clicks to pay it they get the following error (The link you have used to enter the PayPal system contains an incorrectly formatted item amount). I would think errors which make it so customers cant pay would be a high priority.

Create a order..mark it as paid..add a $2 item..log in and try to pay the balance via paypal. You tried this and it works?? This has happened to me atleast 5 times now and I offered to show the error on my system.

Can someone test this for me on your system to see if it is just me.
