order of Catelog

Hi,

i am using an dropdawn menu to display all categories and subcategories ,
i have done this by fetch the all records from category table and and displaying these in dropdawn menu,and when we click on any category their related products list is displaying in grid(featured products) but their order of categories and products are different from admin catelog browser...
I need The order of categories in navigation and order of items on the category pages must follow the order of the items in the able commerce administration catalog browser function...
