When I cancel an order, the shipment status goes to a red flag and remains marked as unshipped. Payment status goes red too.

That doesn't seem right. A cancelled order shouldn't be a red-flag item.
Since it's cancelled, I really don't care anymore that it's unshipped.

I like the color coding of the status indicators alot, but a cancelled order shouldn't be flagged red all over the place.

What'd be much better is have it red-flag a cancelled order that hasn't been refunded yet. Then green-flag it when it's refunded. If there are no payments on record for the order, green-flag it immediately upon cancel. if it's cancelled and no refunds are due, there's nothing more for me to do with the order and the red-flags are too distracting.

1st priority is Red flag = something important has to be done i.e. payment without refund, overpayment, failed capture etc
Yellow flag = a step is unfinished
green flag = order process is complete, be it cancelled, shipped in full etc
