Silverlight

Post by tonz » Fri May 02, 2008 3:56 am

Anybody has some experience integrating ablecommerce 7.0 with websites using silverlight technology?

We have purchased two licenses of ablecommerce and quite happy with the product. Now we are in the design phase of a new site which will be using silverlight, and I just wonder whether I should convince my boss to use ablecommerce for that project as well.

Question for developers: Do you see any theoretical obstacle using silverlight with ablecommerce? What is your opinion?

Thanks a lot for your input.

Tony

Thanks Mazhar,

I am happy to see that. Just wondering if you tried running the shop inside Silverlight..:)
I am not so much of an expert in Silverlight, but our company is in the design phase of a new site which will be using silverlight all over the website, and was just wondering if silverlight events can call ablecommerce functions and display results. So basically silverlight would be the frame and shop needs to function within this design.

However concept might change if it is too difficult. Maybe for user management and checkout we enter the shop and retain only some of the silverlight design.

Thanks anyway, and I will post my experiences when we get to implementation, which might take some time...
