I've seen the responses to the other posts regarding this subject and it doesn't seem as though anyone "got" what the ppl were asking.

Pretty annoying isn't it?
Two minutes is not an exaggeration, we checked the audit log. Needless to say, productivity has come to a screeching halt.
At this point, there is no interest in what is making it happen only how to MAKE IT STOP.

Unfortunately for you, there are about 101 reasons why you are being forced to login every 2 minutes. Each has a different way to "make it stop". Without knowing what is causing the behavior, I have no suggestions.AngelFactor wrote:At this point, there is no interest in what is making it happen only how to MAKE IT STOP.
Since you are actively using the software when you are kicked off, that eliminates idle-time issues. If the restarts occur *exactly* every 2 minutes, then I suspect there is a typo in machine.config or in a web.config somewhere. If they occur approximately every 2 minutes, then I suspect you are running into a processor or memory limit.
Once you narrow it down, the fix will probably be obvious.

Re: Two Minute Sessions
Sometimes it goes a bit longer apx. 15 minutes or so.
I suppose it could be the machine, but I kind of doubt it:
Duo Core Processor x86 Family 6 Model 14 Stepping 8 GenuineIntel ~1828 Mhz
Packing 4Gb Ram.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If we were talking about a "client" application like Word or Excel, then I would totally agree that your machine should not be running into memory or % of processor limits.AngelFactor wrote:Sometimes it goes a bit longer apx. 15 minutes or so.

However, ASP.NET is a server application and, like most server applications, it comes with several configuration options that let you ensure that all the server applications on your computer share the computer well.
For example, you can configure ASP.NET to restart if it uses more than 10% of the processor, or 12% of the memory. The percentages are completely configurable and I do not know what the defaults are. And there are several more limits that also cause a restart.
I think every restart is logged in the Event Log.
