Recurring billing (Subscriptions)

Post by ablegeek » Thu Jun 19, 2008 2:32 pm

Are there any known issues with the recurring billing (subscriptions) using Authorize.net on AbleCommerce?

The order went through but the recurring billing didn't show on the Authorize.net account.

I created a kit and on the kit I've added an item and two subscription options. The customer can choose both subscriptions at the same time or only one. It's more like a cell phone model where you buy a device and then you add monthly service (subscription) options.

I would truly appreciate it if anyone can give me a response ASAP. One of the main reasons I bought the application is because it supposedly can handle recurring billing.

Thank you!

I haven't used it, but you did sign up for and configure Recurring Billing in authorizenet itself?

We certainly have recurring billing activated on the Authorize.net since we are currently doing the recurring charges by hand for each customer. That's why we really need to get this going on the AbleCommerce to save lots of man hours.

Hello again,

We are ready to launch the new store based on the AbleCommerce but we still don't have an answer to this very important issue.

Here is again the same issue explained:

A few months ago we've purchased an AbleCommerce license and we've customized it and we are ready launch and replace the old AspDotNetStoreFront we are using on the production server right now.

There is a main functionality that we really need and it didn't work for us on the dev server and that's the recurring billing (or the subscription). The transaction goes through but recurring does not happen.

Or product is more like a cell phone, you buy the main product then you add a main service and then options to that service. The service fees must be charged monthly at the end of every 30 days.

To implement that I created multiple items one for the physical item and other items for the monthly service fees.
On each monthly service item I created a subscription using the subscriptions page.
Then I went back to the physical item and I've added the monthly service fees as a kit on the" kit/bundle" page.
We are using Authorize.net as our payment gateway and for some reason the recurring billing does not work for us.

I'm not sure if is a problem with the way the kit was implemented of if there is a bug on AbleCommerce.

I left a couple of messages on the forums a few weeks ago but I got no answers on this very important issue.

Could you please help?

Thank you!
