Categorize Products

I have created my category tree in Able. I have uploaded 20,000+ items to my site with the Data Port tool but I did not categorize the items before I uploaded them. Is there a way that I can add several items at a time to a category/sub without re-keying full item description?

Also, in a related issue, I have 4gig of item images - can I simply copy these in to the Item Image folder without going through the upload process? Will it still create the thumbnail image etc?

Images- you can upload them all via ftp, but they will not resize to thumbnails. You can use an external program before upload to batch create the thumbnails and name them according to the Able pattern that will pick them up automatically, SKU.jpg and SKU-t.jpg
