Bad Request (Invalid Hostname) error after entering license

Post by MarkI » Wed Jul 16, 2008 3:56 pm

Hi,

I've been using the trial version of AbleCommerce successfully and recently got a licence key that was purchased by our client (my company is developing the site for the client). After entering the new, purchased key, I get the following:

Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)

The key forces the site to go to the domain of our client, which they presumably used when purchasing the key. Our question is how to allow is to develop the site locally - for this we need the site to resolve to http://127.0.0.1/AbleCommerce/Default.aspx, not http://www.XXXXXX.com/AbleCommerce/Default.aspx, where XXXXXX is our client's website.

I tried renaming CommerceBuilder.lic in the App_Data directory, but this just forced us to re-enter our new license key.

Thanks,

Mark

Hello,

Please open up a support case (or have your customer) and request your development server key for 127.0.0.1.
Thanks for your support
