Installation Issues

Post by albatreeq » Sun Jul 20, 2008 8:53 am

I am getting this error when I try to install Ablecommerce 7 on my dedicated server - Parser Error Message: Unrecognized attribute 'type'.

I have asp.net version 1 & 2 installed on my server. Version 1 was installed by default by the hosting company and Version 2 was downloaded at the time of Ablecommerce 7 installation.

The "install" folder properties shows asp.net version1 as default and the edit configuration button is also greyed out.

How do I modify the folder properties to asp.net version 2. I think this the reason why the software does not install.

Please help :(

I think I had the same problem.
Try:
Launch Windows Start > Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services.
Expand local computer > Web Sites > Default Web Site.
Right click on SuperV and select Properties.
Select the ASP.NET tab and make sure the version is 2.0.50727.

opppss,...
should be:
Right click on >The Name of Your Website< and select Properties.

This is the name of the folder where you put/moved your files to.

The website properties has asp.net ver.2.0, but when i checked the properties of "install" folder within the website, it has asp.net ver 1.0 and I am not able to modify this. Strange!!!
