Need a fast web hosting company - site is too slow

My site is having some very slow page load speeds.

I don't know if it's because I have too many graphics in the header,
or because of the web hosting company.

Any comments, advice, or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

Loaded relatively fast for me. It could be 10-15% faster I'd say. It's current load time would NOT turn me away if I was a potential customer.

Currently FireFold is slow because of the software it runs on. Looking forward to Able's speed.

I agree with Robbie. The site started sending responses right away. The home page has a lot of individual graphics, so it is slow the first time, but a faster server will not help with that.

If you turn on compression, the page content will reach your customer (and be displayed) a little sooner.

The only problem I saw is that your home page and the one catalog page I tried both reference a file with url "/~/images/spacer.gif" which does not exist.

Compression is a setting on the server (IIS6 and above) or an add-on for the server (such as HttpZip from port80 software).

I see the 404 (not found) error for spacer.gif using both FireFox (error in FireBug) and IE (error in Fiddler).

Your site is fast. What software are you currently using?

Currently we are using BVAdmin. Worlds behind Able.

Glad to hear it's fast today though. It will CRAWL some days in heavy usage.

Mike I tested and it loaded up pretty fast for my standards, I have Comcast as ISP which you know have issues, but out of my 4 machines (laptops included) your site displayed just fine, I saved it to my favorites for I'm interested on what you offer on vits

But I still use it a lot. It helps when you want precision using tables.
