Watch out with DHL overnight shipments

Post by AbleMods » Mon Aug 25, 2008 11:51 am

Not exactly AC7 related, but DHL has quietly changed their policy on shipment delivery. They are dumping off shipments to certain zip codes (currently 70+ pages worth) on the USPS. Even if it was shipped Overnight. USPS delivers it on their own schedule and does not honor the original shipment method.

there is no reimbursement to the shipper should the delivery be made outside the expected delivery timeframe for the shipment method originally requested.

Nothing screams "Buy us, we're going out of business soon" like that kind of policy change

Hello Joe,

We like to live in the sticks, so for the last 6 or 7 years all of the DHL 'shipments' are delivered by USPS. During the holiday season, we actually had a DHL truck show up..guess there's enough volume then.
Thanks for your support

DHL no longer uses DHL trucks in our area. They just rent budget rent-a-trucks.
