Moving current website to a new hosting company

I would like to try out a new web hosting company because
mine is just too slow (it's only $30.00 a month - that's why).

Question:

Can I just copy over the files and do a Restore of the database
to get it up and running?

Or do I need to do a complete installation again, .. which is something
I really don't want to do.
