Product Reviews - Importing Question

Post by Robbie@FireFold » Fri Sep 05, 2008 9:21 am

Hey Guys,

Has anyone had an experience on importing product reviews? I have them on a SQL DB I can create anything out of..

I just have 100's and 100's I don't want to lose when switching into Able.

I was able to do it for a site. It was easier because I was moving from an Able 5 to an Able 7 store and the product ids stayed the same.
I used SQL backend to put the data into the appropriate tables, but since they had to have an existing reviewer in Able, I just created one called Customer Reviewer and used that ID in the references to the reviews.

I saw product ID's as being my limitation.

In the database Able doesn't reference the SKU or anything besides the product ID correct?

Correct, it uses the Product_id to hook things up. You might be able to match in excel or something by using SKUs. I think the reviews give you such good content it would be worth the trouble.
