Google analytics setup

Enable E-Commerce Tracking:

What does selecting this option do?

I can log into analytics and see the basic info but where do I see the e-commerce tracking portion?

I am trying to figure out what enabling Enable E-Commerce Tracking does exactly.

if you enable ecommerce transactions in google analytics it will add an ecommerce section to the menu on the right where you can track the sales of products, conversion rate, etc. If you do not enable this option, you can only view thinks like visitors, page views, new vs. returning, etc.
