Prices Changing in Shopping Cart

We are using the Trial Version to demo to several existing e-com clients. I've got a product set up with two variations, size and color. 4 colors and 2 sizes. The In the Main Product Set up, I've got the price set at $2.50. All Variants also have $2.50 listed as the price.

The product listing in the Store initialy shows prices to be correct for all variants, but when a product is added to the cart, it shows the price per unit to be $5.00. When I change quantities, the prices still shows the wrong dollar value per unit.

After these quantity manipulations in the cart, the listings in the store then change to $5.00 also.

Before Variants were set for this product, the price always showed correctly.

If the price is supposed to be $2.50 regardless of the variant, then you need to set that to override the main price when you set up the variant.
Or am I not understanding?
