Shipping Rates are not considered in Total Amount

Post by pradyuman » Mon Oct 20, 2008 2:58 am

Hi All,

We have configured AbleCommerce7.0, all works fine

Problem is there Shipping Rates are not considered in Total Amount of Order. Say Order amount is $100 and I have selected shipping method having rate $12 then total Order Amount must be $112 but it gives $100.

We are using USPS as Shipping Method.

Please browse url http://216.139.230.124/default.aspx , add item to cart and select any shipping method.

Also find here with attached screenshot.

Unable to reproduce the problem. It may be due to some customization work. What is your Build version?

What I find strange is that this part of checkout was working fine last week...

I had Pradyuman fix the cart item # and total in the header, as it was adding the COUPONS and SHIPPING METHODS as items, so the cart total was always wrong. Ever since he fixed this problem, we are having this shipping display problem.

We would appreciate if someone could try checking out on the test site Pradyuman gave link to above, and see for yourself what is happening. I'm really stumped on this one.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Alan

The info in header looks like some separate control and i think just shows the information. I don't think changing this could causes this type of problem.

It worked OK for me today- it hadn't yesterday. I did find something weird on the site. When I went to the Da Lil Guyz category and clicked on a name of a product, I got directed to:

If I clicked on the image, I went to

Just wanted to let anyone else having this issue know... I contacted the OP and he told me that the issue resolved itself once they had sorted out some incorrect configuring of the products. He advised me to make sure that our sizes/colors and other options/variants were set correctly. I created a test product through the admin to test this theory and found that the test product did allow for the shipping price to be calculated into the total price after all. We found that the products we had imported previously did not have a warehouse id associated with them.

So to anyone else having this issue, make sure your products are configured properly.
