Invenory for options

Can or dose able have inventory control options.

For example.
3 different balls for sale, with an option you can add a box to any of the balls. A option drop down would be like add $4 to add the box.
But i don't sell the boxes separately, but i only have 10 of the boxes. when i get down to zero boxes can the option turn off or change to out of stock?

I used to use OsCommerce and it has a control panel for all options and i could edit the option for box to include the words "out of stock" and it would update all the products that had this option.

Thanks for any info you can give me. Is there more information on the options and inventory system listed someplace?

I didn't get your point clearly. AbleCommerce does support the inventory control and product options. Have a look at the following demo product with color and size options.

to me it looks like in the demo its keeping track of the end option blue and small.
What im looking for is having multiple products with "blue" when i sell out of blue, can i change blue on all the products to be "out of stock"

So what im looking for is not this shirt in blue. But all turd in blue.


They way oscommerce is setup is all options are in a database. and if i edit the option "blue" i only have to edit it once to change 40 products.

Another nice thing would be inventory for "blue" separate from the product.

You can't have and track a single option for all products. You can create variants and track inventory for variants. For example if you have a shirt with three colors red, green and blue. In order to track inventory you can create variants and then enable inventory tracking for variants on this product. For example one variant will be

My T-shirt (Blue)

You can specify available in stock inventory for this variant and it will show out of stock message when this variant will be out of stock.

This is something my site requires. Hopefully my developer can do some custom code do allow this. I would have about 65,000 variants. For one product.
