mapping our database tables to Ablecommerce

Hi
We already have a database with categories. I want to map them to Able commerce database category table with product name so that available categories show up on the catalog. I imported categories to the category table. But they won't show up on the user interface. I checked catalognodes table,categoryparents table for values to insert so that it works. But nothing is working.

Is there any mapping tool or procedure to follow to import categories from existing database to categories table and products etc.

I am reposting my question with refined one.
I found on your forums to use DataPort Utility for mapping existing database to Ablecommerce 7.0 database.

Does this work on demo store. I downloaded trial version of Ablecommerce 7.0 on our server. If there is any DataPort utility that works for demo store that would be great. I am having lot of trouble figuring out tables and relations to map my database to AbleCommerce demo database.
