Wishlist password

hi,
I am using ablecommerce7..
here "Add To WishList" button is visible..afete click on that button wishlist.aspx page is open.
in this page on right side bar wishlist password option is visible, i am unable to understand what exactly the meaning of this wishlist password...so please let me know what is the utility of "WISHLIST PASSWORD" please describe it in detail........

Basically its purpose is to provide password protected wishlists. When you create password on a wishlist and Email it to some one. The desired person can only view the wishlist after providing the password.

This Information is not enogh for me knowing about wishlist working..
Password is not in Encrypted format in wishlist..
Any loged user add item in wishlist then in right side bar update password is display
you told me earlier this password we can provide to any other people who want to show our wishlist...but for exam ,if i add an item in wishlist and update password(and tell me also what is the meaning of update here we are we updating our exiting password or other meaning ?) like 12344 then i have give this password to my friend ..where he will use password it to show my wishlist ..

When you send your friend an email with the link to your wishlist and you have set a password, the email will be in the password. If you change your password you will have to tell him.
The password doesn't need to be encrypted because it is not for your account--it doesn't protect anything personal and no damage can be done to your personal information such as name, address.
If you spend a little time trying out different functions, you can see how they operate.

Thanks for your proper response..
But if i am not using "Email A Friend" functionality .. so in this place i also have to remove this password option. this is useless without "Email A Friend" utility..
or is this useful in any other place..
