Has anyone added FedEx Multiship to the shipping options for an AbleCommerce 7 store?

It is a shipping method that allows a discount for shipments that are over 150 lbs.

In the previous version of the site I'm working on, multiweight shipping is an option, but the xml request had to be done outside of the normal fedex rate request.

Is there a way to create a similar solution in able commerce?

anyone know anything about adding to an integrated carrier or creating a custom integrated carrier?

Thanks Kastnerd for the reply, but these are not really the same issue.

As much as I'd like to see the new FedEx implementation, I have a meter number and an account previously set up.

Multi-weight Ground shipping is an option with FedEx that requires a separate xml request. I need to find out how to set up a new shipping option that does it's own request to the FedEx Server. If there is no way to do this, that would be helpful to know also.

Has this been resolved or FedEx Ground Multiweight been implemented into the AbleCommerce system? We are seeing the same issue with orders that the items are shipped in separate boxes but the total weigh over 150 lb.
