multiple pricing for same products

Hi,

I am having a marketing strategy where one product which is popular in australia should show more pricing on it,where as in USA it is not as popular ,so should show less pricing to encourage sales of that product in USA.

I will know that request is from australia by checking the IP address for the request. So how should I show different pricing for them.


Is there a way to accomplish this by configuring in Admin section in Ablecommerce or does it need any customization.
I saw pricing rules for product where pricing varies depending on the date configured.

Can anyone help.

It would be hard to do that for customers who have not made an account.

One way to accomplish this without customization could be to setup a user group for USA users and then create some special pricing through pricing rules on product for USA group. So when some USA group user will logon he will get special price. You can customize the registeration process so that when a new user tries to register you can check his/her IP and assign them their user group.
