Changing to Conlib/Custom alters search results

We are trying to change the look of the Category Search Sidebar, and have placed a copy of the ascx and cs files into our ConLib/Custom folder. However, when we change the scriptlet (via the Admin interface) to use the Custom/ file the search results return every item in the store. As soon as we change the scriptlet back to ConLib:CategorySearchSidebar, everything is fine.

Has anyone else hit this, and how do we resolve it?

I don't think there was a way to resolve it. There is some new coding in Able 7.0.2 and I think that handles it.

Well, maybe it isn't fixed- I haven't tested it. There is a bug report about another search issue in 7.0.2

The issue mentioned above is actually fixed in 7.0.2.
The bug you have posted is a separate issue ... and it has also been fixed. Patch is available with the bug posted above.
