I am currently not using a payment gateway to process my transactions. I was previously able to modify charges to an order by creating a new payment (with the updated charges), then processing it virtually in the admin (adding the credit card and CSV# manually) and then deleting the old one. This seemed to be the only way to update Processed Payments so that the original payment would go away.
After installing the the new service release, when I go to do this it says "Process a credit card payment online. This is only available for payment methods that are linked to a real-time payment gateway."
It says in your user manual that "Not all payment methods need to use a payment gateway. You may decide to not use a gateway for automated processing. You can still accept a customer's credit card information which you will use to process the order later."
How can I process a new payment online and or update changes to the order when the payment method is not showing up in the drop down in the add payment section?
The Payment Amount in the order summary will only update if I can manually add a new payment and delete the old one.
