Apply multiple templates to a product

Is it possible to apply multiple templates to a product? If it's not in there by default, can you point me what source files need changing?

Nope. It is not possible to apply multiple templates to a product.
This has come up before and it has been added as a request for enhancement in future version.

No products can have only one product template at one time. I don't think so that there exist any fix to change this functionality without source code. If you are in scenario where you have some fields for all products and there are some special fields available only on some specific products. Then a possible workaround could be to make use of product custom fields with product templates. For example you can put some product custom field logic for all products and can define a product template that could be applied to some special products.
