Custom shipment tracking numbers?

Is there a way to attach the freight carrier's company name, tracking URL, and phone number to the tracking number when modifying the order in the admin panel?

I can see that in Manage -> Order, I can click on the order then Shipments on the left side. Here I can send the shipment and add the tracking number. But I would also like to attach the freight carrier's information so the custom can refer to their contact info for any questions on the shipment. Is this possible?

Use "Delivery Instructions" text? If present, it shows up on the shipment email under "Ship To:" as "Message".
