Shipping method maximum purchase

Is there a way to add a field for maximum purchase for a shipping method?

I am not sure but you can use hit and try tech to test it. Have a look at following thread

You can try do something similar that if current basket price is greater then a specific amount you can remove some desired shipping method from available list.
