Recurring Payments with Paypal Website Payments Pro

I recently had signed up for a Website Payments Pro sandbox account which had given me the API user/password and signature. Recurring payments is also a feature in Website Payments Pro and is currently active. I then entered the given information in the "Paypal" gateway configuration in AC 7.0.3, and made sure to check the Sandbox option. I also enabled debug mode.

I tried to process a transaction with recurring payments which returned a FAILED result and from the notes, it said "Recurring billing is unsupported by this gateway integration. I noticed that there were no entries in the App_data\Logs regarding this transaction which led me to believe that this error occured before request data is sent to the paypal gateway (correct me if I am wrong).

I understand that using the Payflow Pro gateway is a working solution for recurring billing, but we want an all-in-one solution including both internet merchant account and gateway, which Website Payments Pro provides at a low cost.

Am I doing something wrong or is this just a case of updating the software build to support recurring billing for Website Payments Pro?

When we wrote the integration for website payments pro, recurring billing was not offered as a feature. So the integration provided up through AC703 does not support it.
