Tax exemption by customer

Post by windsurfer » Thu Jul 02, 2009 7:51 pm

I have downloaded ac_7_0_3_stable_b12458.exe and get the error message that i need a license key which is what i am working and hope to get an answer but in the meantime i would like to know if it is possible to exempt a customer from one tax but not the other, I am in Ontario canada and my wholesale cutomers have to pay GST like anybody else in Canada but not PST so they would have to be exempt from just this one tax. That is if it is even possible to have the site have different pricing and logins for regular customers and wholesale customers.

I assume your wholesale customers will be in a group (they will have to be in order to get multiple pricing levels). And in that case, when you configure the tax rule for the PST you will apply a group filter. Choose do not apply to selected groups, then select the group for the wholesale customers.

So the answer is yes and yes.

The key issue is being handled through our CRM system, correct?

Today is a holiday which is why you haven't heard anything. After you installed the files, did you visit install/Default.aspx page per the instructions?
