Ability to Adjust Inventory Levels & Pricing?

Post by JKstang » Mon Jul 06, 2009 4:17 pm

I have been trying (without sucess) to find where in Able's Admin Interface we can adjust pricing for products in bulk. We have the ability to change stock levels for multiple products at once under Manage Product Inventory, but when it comes to changing prices...it seems we have to adjust them individually on a product by product basis. With over 1000 items this is quite time consuming. How do we change the price for multiple products at once, as we do for inventory? Is this something simple I am missing? If not, is there an addon available that will allow us to change the price for several products at once?

We are currently using Version 7.02 until the next Dataport is available. Any help here would be greatly appriciated.

There is no out of the box solution for adjusting prices in a way as inventory. You can write your custom report like one we used in inventory to do this. Alternatively a similar effect could be achieved via DataPort. Export all products in CSV format then open CSV in some CSV editor and update prices for all products, finally import file back into application.

Not what I was hoping to hear, but it's what I expected. Using the Dataport and .csv is not something the business owner will be able to handle...and he wants the ability to adjust all prices personally. I was hoping that someone had created an addon. As that does not appear to be the case, is there anyone that can provide a quote to have this sort of custom report implemented?

Thanks in Advance

7.0.3 is better- there is a batch edit page where you can do multiple products at a time.

Does this new batch edit screen implement any changes to source code, or would it be possible to just include this file in my project without going through the upgrade process?
Thanks

There are changes in back end for this feature.

This is pretty cool feature I never noticed.. It is pretty limited though since it wont list the variants.
