Membership and Roles

Do you have any built in methods of modifying access via the different roles or adding new roles. (Ex., certian catalog admins may be allowed to only edit certian fields of a product, or not delete products, or have access to only categories. Thanks

No, the security provider in AC7 doesn't go to that level of detail.

You can customize security to a certain extent, check this out and it will explain how:
