Customization - of Products display

Hi,

Got a question. I want to customize the products display based on a manufacturer.

How can I display certain categories related to a manufacturer or how can I load only one Manufacturer products, If I have multiple manufacturers?

Is it possible? any inputs are appriciated.

One more question, related to the above, If I have different manufacturers and display only one manufacturer products in the storefront which can be achieved by u r sample. I'lll try and give an update.

On the Admin site, How can I restrict Manufacturer to see only his product sales?

Manufacturer A - Product a1, product a2
manufacturer B - Product b1, product b2

User1 places an order for Product A1
User2 places an order for Product B1

After User1 places an order for Product A1 how can manufacturer A can see ONLY this order
After User2 places an order for Product B1 how can manufacturer B can see ONLY this order

can Admin can see All these orders ?

Have a look at vendor feature of AbleCommerce, when an order is placed for products having vendors and Email is sent to each vendor telling them about sales of their products. So instead of using manufacturers function you can make use of this if Email notification is sufficient for your needs. Also I have posted a mod to list products specific to vendors only something very similar to the one I mentioned for manufactures

Secondly I you want to provide a report for vendors/manufacturers you would need to write one. I think better way to handle this should be to create some restricted feed for manufacturers/vendors instead of giving the merchant accounts. They will subscribe the feed passing it their identity information and custom feed will list their sales informationin some standard RSS/ATOM format. I have seen a plug-in offering order feed at plugables.com. I don't know it will work out in your scenario or not but you can have a look at that here http://www.plugables.com/Feed-Builder-P10.aspx
