Catalog import question

Hello,
I am new to able and I am trying to find out some information. Is there a way to import multiple items into the product catalog. We have over 4,000 items in our database and I would like to find a way to import them and the information pertaining to them into the product catalog, without having to enter each item individually. Thank you for any help

AbleCommerce has DataPort utility for CSV and XML data imports. Please have a look at following topic on WIKI
