Fedex Shipping: Residential and Commercial Options

Hmm, well I am having this problem and my customers are getting my money haha!

Here's the situation: I offer alot of shipping options 2 being "Fedex Residential" and "Fedex Commercial". My customers reside at a Residential address however the able commerce system allows them to select the "Fedex Commercial" Option. Then when I go to actually ship the item Fedex charges me for the "Residential shipping" which is More $.

Is there any sort of solution to this?

I am not sure. One possibility could be to simply not allowing shipping to Commercial addresses. But I doubt that it would be your pick. Second solution may be to do some sort of address validation to make sure customers are telling you the truth. If Fedex or some third party provides you this facility then you can do some customization for that validation check. Lastly without any customization I think you can try to handle this with your process. Let's say some one placed an order for residential address while telling you that its commercial. Before shipping the items you can confirm from Fedex about the desired address and in case of false information simply add one public order note telling the customer that he made a mistake what to do now.
