UK Gateway and Merchant Account Advice

Post by aaj » Tue Sep 14, 2010 1:27 pm

Hi

I am almost ready to make my first store live, but have run in to a problem, I wonder if you guys can offer any help?

I am based in the UK using British Pounds and need a merchant gateway. Looking at Ables list, the two that I have checked so far are InternetSecure and Authorise.net, but both are in US$ or Canadian $.

Has anyone set up a UK site, and if so, have you any advice on a UK merchant account that Able can interface with?

thanks in advance

Andy

Hello Andy,
I have done payment gateways integration of AbleCommerce. Recently I have done integration of DataCash and VirtualMerchant. DataCash is a UK gateway with British Pound as primary currency.
You can contact me if you need help with custom payment gateways.
Thanks

Well there are two things. First of all you need to setup your store's base currency as GBP. So go to Administration > Configure > Currencies and then edit current base currency($) to GBP. Then you will be required to have a payment provider account that accepts GBP payments for example PayPal.
