CategoryGrid3 does not show items by Featured option

We decided to change some categories to run on CategoryGrid3 (Category Grid with Basket Options), but when we change the sorting to Featured it shows that there are no items to display. All other sort methods work, but selecting to sort by Featured selects only those items that have the Featured box checked. The current grid (CategoryGrid4) uses the Featured sorting to sort all items in the category by the order that we put them in. I realize that this is likely some simple setting that we are overlooking, but for the life of me I cannot find what I need to change. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

After a whole bunch of tinkering I have found that CategoryGrid4 is the only grid to show any products when using Featured to sort the results. Well, that is not 100% true- if an item has the IsFeatured box checked, then it shows up on the other grids. But, CategoryGrid4 (even the default version) shows all items in a category, and shows them in the order that we have sorted them from the Admin section.

I have spent a couple of hours comparing the CategoryGrid3 and CategoryGrid4 Conlib files, and cannot get CategoryGrid3 showing the products when using Featured as a sort option. Can anyone get me pointed in the right direction?

Seeing as we have CategoryGrid4 functioning, and just want to add the ability to add multiple items to the shopping cart at one time, would it be easier to add this function to CategoryGrid4?

Maybe I'm not understanding correctly, but in 7.0.4, I've got a site that shows only featured items on categorygrid3 when you select that.

(It's actually categorygrid3 with the buy buttons taken off- we were going to use multiple add to cart, but changed later on. I didn't want to recode a new page because the search bar in the left does a drilldown based on template fields and it took a long time to do that.)

We are running 7.0.2.

With CategoryGrid4, when you sort by Featured, all items in the category are shown- regardless of whether or not the "Is Featured" box is checked for each individual item. But the sorting matches the way that we have sorted the products inside the specific category. This allows us to sort items by type. A customer will generally want to see all wing sauces together, for example. But, they may not be together if we sort strictly by name.

With all other CategoryGrids (CategoryGrid3 included), when we sort by Featured, only items with the "Is Featured" box checked show up. Sorting alphabetically and by price still work, but we cannot have the products shown in the order that we have sorted them.

Ultimately, changing CategoryGrid4 to use the multiple product add-to-cart would be best because we have already set that grid up to display with the colors, etc., that we want. But, we will settle for adapting CategoryGrid3 to show all items when sorting by Featured, and then mess with the design.

Are there any thoughts on this? We would really like to add the ability to add multiple items to the basket at one time, but obviously need all items to show up, and in the order that we have set.

Alright- I managed to get the items to display in our selected order by adding a new sort option named 'Default' with no parameters. It ended up being pretty simple.

Now, for some reason in CategoryGrid3 we cannot get the 'regular' price to show in one color and the 'retail' price another. Examples:
