PayPal Express button

Post by WebDev7 » Fri Dec 03, 2010 11:25 am

Hi, Ive looked on the boards here and cannot seem to find if someone else has done a customization llike this before.

Could you swap out the PayPal Express Button for the standard (in 703 version) using OPCheckout? Would the functionality be the same?

(My though is it cannot be done becuase the customer has to sign in and verify with PPExpress Checkout before they hit the final step of OPC.)

Thank you in advance.

Not sure if I understood your question properly, but are you asking to place paypal standard payments button in place of paypal express checkout? Thing is paypal express is a complete checkout system and once customer chooses this option then he can choose his billing/shipping information. But when using PayPal Standard you must do that before sending customer standard payments, for example at the moment when customer sees standard payments option at last screen he is already done with billing/shipping information so upon click we do the standard payments.

Hi -
Actually the other way around. It would be placing the PayPalExpress button in place of the standard PayPal button on OPC payment options.

I had a request from a customer if they could bypass the back and forth from ACstore to PayPal website, while using PayPal Express.
I now know this cannot be done. Thanks again for your help =)
