categorygrid3 gives a box for quantity but shows products in subcategory which I don't want.
categorygrid2 does not show products in subcategories but does not have the box for quantity.
Is there a way to have categorygrid3 only show products in the main category only?

Well functionality that is specific to load only things from category it self and ignore its subcategories is complex then quantity box. So It would be better to move quantity box into categorygrid2.
