Volume Discounts

Is it possible to assign Volume discounts across different digital products?

It seems as though the logic is there in Able commerce but it does not work.

For example I can order 5 English copies of a product and I get discount, but if I order 2 copies of English and three French of the same product it will not apply the discount. Event though it's set up in the Volume Discounts.

Any suggestions?

To my understanding what you are describing here should have worked just like that in AbleCommerce. If it is not working like that it could be some bug. Which version of AbleCommerce are you using?

I know it should work according tot he logic, but form reason it's not working across items. It will only work wtih 5 of the same item.

anyway the version I am running is AbleCommerce 7.0.5 build 14053

I think I have figured it out. It looks ike Ablecommerce won't apply discount accross Sku's

Are you using variants for the different products chosen (ie. French & English)? If you are, then this should work because I use it this way on my site. You can have a unique sku generated for each variant if desired with this method and each variant can have a unique price (and weight). But when submitted to the cart (even after other cart additions) the quantities will combine for the proper discount.

However, if you are using separate product definitions for each item, you may need to adjust the Volume Discounts mode in "Configure Store". There is a description there as to how the discount system applies.
