PayPal Refund

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has experienced a PayPal buyer_refund/complaint and how to balance out the sale.

Below is looking in the Payment details page area this order

01/02/2012 PayPal Capture $40.00

1/02/2012 PayPal Partial Refund $39.25 buyer_complaint (REVERSED) <----this amount has the PayPal fees removed

1/10/2012 PayPal Partial Refund $40.00 buyer_complaint (REFUNDED)

=======================================================================

So from above, this customer has a -39.25 showing up on this order from the REVERSED amount. The REFUNDED amount cancells out the original purchase amount.

Is it as simple as deleting the REVERSAL in the PayMent Details for the Order?

Is there some sort of setting inside the PayPal Seller account that would need to be changed because there are two notifications being sent over?

From the logs you've posted, it looks like they took twice the amount out ??

Yes, as its been refunded/reversed... Its looks like the customer has a credit with the store .

Hmm it doesn't sound like the Able gateway for PayPal has correctly handled the dispute transaction. It's (usually) very rare, so it may have just never been tested for it.

I would just delete the -39.25 refund payment from the order so it goes back into balance. 39.25 isn't what actually got refunded anyways, it was the $ 40.00 right?
