Product discounts not on Mobile pages

I just realized that product discounts don't show up on the mobile pages.

Has anybody else had this problem?

Due to the limitations of screen size and other usability concerns, not everything that is shown in standard store is displayed in the mobile store. Display of available discounts on product dialog is one such thing. However discounts function just as they will function in the main store. If there really is a need to show the details of available discounts on the product page, you can consider updating the page manually. However, as it usually is the case with mobile UI, it would be better if you create a separate screen to show discounts. It could be linked from your product page though. See for example how product reviews are linked from product page. This is different from how they are done in standard store.

Yes, it IS important to tell the prospective customers there are discounts BEFORE they decide to put it in there basket. If they don't know about the discounts, they may very well NOT purchase at all. They may just be checking prices and discounts is an IMPORTANT part of pricing. It entices people to purchase. Giving a customer a pleasant surprise AFTER they make their decision is pointless.

The PROSPECTIVE customer should be shown discounts somewhere near the price so they can actually see it.

Showing discounts directly on the product page shpould be standard.

What can we do about this?

I made a request to add this to a future version of AC Gold.

I just fixed it myself by removing <%-- and --%> from the line that was already there on the Product.aspx page: <uc6:ProductDiscountsDialog ID="ProductDiscountsDialog1" runat="server" />

It seems this was already included in the product page, but for some reason was commented out.

Yes and the reason is it won't fit well on the mobile screen especially when there tiered discounts.
