Changing Alt attribute for logo

Post by Brewhaus » Wed Dec 04, 2013 7:03 pm

In starting to really push to improve our SEO (we have neglected it for far too long) we are working on the alt attributes for images to ensure that the appropriate term(s) are within the first three alt attributes. This is very difficult as the logo alt attribute appears to be auto-generated, and I cannot find where we can manually change it. The progress image and logo take up the first two alt attributes, so that makes it difficult to get into the first three if you are optimizing a page for more than one keyword.

Can anyone help with this?

Make updates to ConLib/StoreLogo.ascx(.cs) for whatever changes you want to make for logo display.

That is perfect- thank you. We can just remove the alt text for the logo so that the other images move up a notch, which will allow us to control two of the first three alt tags.
