JQuery version

Post by nethrelm » Tue Jan 28, 2014 3:36 pm

Is it safe to upgrade the JQuery and JQueryUI script references to the most recent version of each or will that break things in the current version of Gold R6? I noticed that there were some potentially non-backward compatible changes made in JQuery 1.9 and 1.10, but I was hoping you guys might know if anything you used would be affected by those changes.

For the next version (R7), we have already completed the task "Upgrade jQuery to latest version and make its use consistent throughout". A number of changes to several pages were made, but I can't give much detail except that upgrading the current version may break some UI features.

Good to know. When is the projected release of R7?

We're a little behind schedule, but if all the final testing goes well, then it should be by the end of February.
