Gold R8 Affiliate Self Signup

I noticed in the Able 7 documentation about Affiliate Self Signup.

That feature doesn't appear to have made it into Able Gold - am I missing something?

I think you are right because I couldn't find it either. If I remember, the self-signup feature was so poorly implemented in version 7 that we didn't think anyone was actually using it. The Affiliates module needs some hefty improvements to make it really useful. The AffiliateWiz integration would probably be a good choice if you are really needing something more robust.

In fact, we were discussing an auto-signup feature today. This would be for a member store. We will need to look at both of them in the version following R10. We can't add any more features to R10 right now because we're already a little behind schedule.

Makes sense. In 8 years this is the first time I've been asked about it.

The appeal is obviously the lack of monthly cost as opposed to AffiliateWiz.

No worries, maybe we can adapt the 7.x version to Gold for this client.
