R9 Data Import fields missing?

Post by rlopez » Mon Apr 27, 2015 12:33 pm

Just getting ready to do some data Product updates in a R9 build and found when setting up import using the data import tools there is no Price, Retail or Cost fields to choose from under the fields matching options. Do these fields not matter if using the ProductId field? I've tried all of the Category field options and still not able to see Price, Retail or Cost fields. I have not tried importing anything yet and thought I would check here first, but found nothing in the forums. Also checked to see if there may have been a bug on this but nothing as well. Any feedback would be great. Maybe no one uses this option for importing and exporting data?
Thanks again for any feed back.
Rick.

Match fields are those fields which can be used (alone or combination) to uniquely identity products. Price, Retail or cost fields do not seems related in this regard, though I am not sure about your particular scenario. The value of these fields can be imported/exported but I am sorry these fields are not available as match fields.

Naveed thank you for your feedback. I did test the import function and yes PorductID was only required in my case. The confusion came about when I down loaded the data and had so many options to choose from. This being said I thought that you had to match all fields when importing. Do to the problems we had with AC7X (which did not allow a single matching field) it left us weary. We have only used SQL direct for updating. Once again the data port works great!
Thank You again for your feedback.
