Upgraded to gold and now have broken links

I vaguely remember this being a issue one time before. I just upgraded to gold and now I am getting a ton of errors from people trying to access items which I assume is via old links or wishlists or something. Here is a link that does not work.

Both links in your post are broken.

I have never heard of this happening for any AC7 to Gold upgrade. The Gold version effectively uses the same database as your AC7 version so all the existing data should be unchanged. The upgrade script simply adds the new fields to be compatible with new Gold features.

What are you links in Google doing? Are they broken too?

This is weird because both links started working for me earlier but when you said none where working I tried them again and sure enough they did not work. So I went through the catalog and got to the actual product page without the links and viewed it fine and after that the product links I posted worked again.. It is some strange cache issue or something.

To see this.. use the menu to go to hilt electronics>cree xp-e2>Collimator Lens 5 deg viewing angle

It will show the exact link in the URL that did not work via a direct link.

Did you make any changes? The direct links work for me now. I even searched on Google for the product name and the link there is correct and working. Weird...

No.. it works and then it doesn't work. Then you view the page manually and it works again. I have no idea what is going on lol.

I have never seen a error using the store catalog, it is only a issue when using a URL link.

The only thing that I can think of is that you have moved to a different server and/or the IP address for your domain name has changed. If this were the case, it might be a DNS caching issue.

Looks like the link issue was a self inflicted issue with my menu.

Not sure what was/is up with paypal as most orders are being marked as paid fine but 7 or so where not. Hopefully that will clear itself up.

Figured out the link issue. The Gold code Maz posted for the treeview menu will throw a server error if you link to a product that has multiple categories and one of those categories is hidden. It may be only if the product was originally created under a category that is now hidden.
