Does Gold R6 Support Authorize.net CIM for saving card info

We are trying to understand if the Authorize.NET CIM feature discussed here:

will allow the customer's card data to be stored for subsequent, NOT recurring, transactions, so they would not need to reenter their card number each time they make a new purchase.

We can't find anything in the set up screens the mentions CIM to attempt to try it.
If the Able CIM does not provide this then do any of the other Able-supported gateways provide this for Gold R6?

Yes, we added this feature in Gold R9. Please see this page: http://help.ablecommerce.com/mergedProj ... ttings.htm

Authorize.net CIM is the only integration that we have that supports storage of the customer profile and credit card info. We do plan on adding other gateways to support this feature, but it is still undecided which ones.

The version you are running is 3+ years old now! If you upgrade, you'll be able to offer the feature to your customers.

Just to clarify, if our customer upgrades to the current release, then when their existing shoppers want to place a new order, does Able allow them to access this Card info to complete the purchase?
And does that mean if one of our Customer's employees with Admin privileges to login to an existing shopper's user account could also perform this, eg in case of a B to B customer environment where customer service agents take orders for customers via AbleCommerce?
Lastly, does this work if the payment processing is configured to Authorize first and Capture later?

To answer your questions -

- Any existing customers would need to first store their profile. They can do it during the next checkout process or by logging into their account and going to the payment profiles page.

- If you employees are logging in as the customer, then yes, they would be able to choose an existing payment method (after it's stored). They would not be able to create an order via the Admin > Create Order pages and select any stored payment methods though.

- How you choose to capture your orders doesn't have an effect on this feature. The payments can be authorized or captured. It works either way.

Hi Katie,

We needed to see what the screens look like to retrieve a saved card to use for new order, per the discussion above, so we requested the online demo for the current release.

It's not clear that we can see this feature in action, even using our live Authorize.Net merchant account. One screen seems to imply that SSL must be installed.

1) Is it possible to run the CIM gateway and see how it works using the online demo?
2) if not, would you be able to send us a screen shot showing what i looks like when you retrieve the card information for re-use?
