I have checked several sites, including my clean install of R9, and they all have an error with the search box and using enter key. Using IE 9-11 on one site, we get the error
On my R9 site in IE 11, the error is
SCRIPT5007: Unable to get property 'click' of undefined or null reference
File: Default.aspx, Line: 146, Column: 319
In FireFox, it is
TypeError: document.getElementById(...) is null
Default.aspx (line 1, col 84)
Can you provide us with a fix for this?
Thanks

Re: Search error in R9 and earlier
I just tried using the store search in the header in version Gold R9. I entered 'remote' and used the enter key with my IE 9 browser. It worked fine.
Do you have any other controls on the page which may have a form?

Re: Search error in R9 and earlier
I need to clarify a little. In my R9 site, search works, but there is an error in the javascript console. I started checking other sites because the problem site has that error, but the search doesn't work- customer gets sent back to the home page. I thought the issues might be related when I got the error in R9, even though search works.

Re: Search error in R9 and earlier
This problem ended up being something different. Someone had taken the definition of the DefaultButton out of the panel.
